The Porto de Cima Beach is the first beach towards the Northers part of Morro de São Paulo, in the direction of Gamboa. It is surrounded by native forest has shallow and crystal clear water. It is a rather lonely beach since it only exists when there is low tide. At high tide this beach is fully covered with water. Most tourists just pass by this beach on their way to Gamboa. It is a lonely hidaway for people looking for a truly deserted beach far from the noise of the more popular beaches.
The beach is only a couples of minutes from the harbor of Morro de São Paulo, but you can access it only at low tide. At high tide you can still access the beach or whatever is left of it over the road 'Rua do Porto de Cima' which is close to Fonte Grande..
